LINE A PUTT BALL ALIGNMENT SYSTEM

KISS. We all know what this acronym stand for. Especially when we hear the stories of how a simple idea is made into a zillion dollar corporation (e.g., yellow post pads). "Geez, I should have thought of that!"

The truth of the matter is that you may in passing have thought of an idea which has blossomed into a successful enterprise, but maybe you jumped from that idea to a discussion with a friend about whom you thought would be eliminated from the "Survivor" series in a couple days.

It sometimes boils down to priorities, priorities, and priorities.

For Jerry Urban, the man behind Line a Putt Ball Alignment System, his highest priority has been and is to improve your golf game from get-go tee-off, hole-to-hole-to-hole.

Urban is no slouch when it comes to golf game improvements since he has made or purchased more than 50 putters of every combination of putter head, shaft type, length and grip that he could imagine to improve his putting.

Still, he wanted to improve his game as well as others' golf game by taking another step forward. Ah, he figured it out, the best golfers in the world use some sort of mark on their golf balls for better putting. That's where Line-A-Putt (patent pending) comes in.

Line-A-Putt allows you to putt a line of any length and any place on a standard size ball that is much easier to see than the printing on the ball.

On the green, you mark your ball and evaluate the break of the putt. Then you use the Line-A-Putt line to aim your put along the desired lie of putt. As you address the ball, the alignment is complete. Judge the distance and stroke the ball with the putter face perpendicular to the line on the ball and, presto!, there goes your golf ball straight to the hole!

It's a simple idea with substantial results to be shown on the course. So simple that top ranked players in the world are now using it.

In fact, PGA Tour partners Club Magazine recently awarded Line-A-Putt their Seal of Approval after 450 members tested the putting aid. Most of these players noticed considerable improvement in their putting and found the inexpensive device easy to use.

The Line-A-Putt conforms to USGA rules [...] For more information, call tollfree 1 (888) 591-0975. Or, visit the web site www.lineaputt.com.

I found this simple idea, this simple line, this simple device very helpful when it comes to improving one's game on the greens. Inventor Jerry Urban should be congratulated for this simple but yet important aid to better golf.
