According to WJ Rawlins, "The Armies of Baden and Wurtemburg,"

     "The troopers shabraque was light blue . . . with a wide 
scarlet band at the edge piped with light blue at the extreme edge.  
The cypher appeared in the rear corners in white.  Trumpeters had 
shabraques of scarlet with white edging and cypher.  Oficers 
shabraques were of the same pattern with silver trim and cypher, and 
the girths were black."
     In shape, the "shabraque . . . had ponted rear and rounded front 
corners."
