Ray English is arguably the leading Sprite Historian. Beyond any doubt is that he is a long-time sprite owner and competitor, and that he has the finest collection of Sprite memorabilia in existence. He has also been the proprietor of a business that specialised in Sprites and Midgets and was one of the founding members of the Austin Healey Sprite Drivers Club.

For some time now, Ray has been publishing "Marque One", a newletter devoted to the Sprite. The newsletter contains both interesting articles but also reprints of sales brochures, factory memos, race results and other Sprite memorabilia (mostly from his collection). While the newsletter has a number of international subscribers, it is still one of the great secrets of the Sprite world.

Ray is no longer working (other than on maintaining and increasing the collection!), so a small subscription fee is necessary to cover all the direct expenses associated with the production of the newsletter. At A$20, it is an absolute bargain!
