Planning for our club tour of Tasmania is moving along. We currently have a list of 19 people who have expressed firm interest in coming so we have tentatively booked passage on the Ferry to Tasmania at a cost of $900 per couple, return, including cabin accommodation and transport of our Sprites. We will depart Melbourne on Friday evening, 16^th February and return on Sunday 25^th arriving back in Melbourne very early on Monday 26^th, in time to go to work (if you have to).

Whilst in Tasmania we intend to visit Burnie (to coincide with Rally Tasmania and we’ll socialise with AHSDC competitors in this rally), Launceston, Bicheno (on the east coast), Port Arthur and Hobart. We will have relaxed schedule, but plan to travel over some of the great driving roads that make Tasmania a top place to take a Sprite (including some great Targa stages). We’re currently working on the accommodation options for our trip, and are planning to meet up with some of the Tasmanian Sprite owners.

• D’anvers chocolate truffle factory
• Longford Hotel (on the old Longford Racetrack)
• Scallop pies in Bicheno
• Freycinet National Park
• Historic towns; Richmond, Ross etc
• Convict ruins at Port Arthur
• Salamanca market – Hobart
• Fish and chips straight off the boat at Constitution Dock
