AHSDC 40th Yearbook Urgent Request!
As noted last year, we have about 30 members who have been continuous members of the AHSDC for over 20 years. (We also have around 70 members who have been in the club for over 10 years not bad out of 180 members!). This means that we have a great history to celebrate in this our 40th year, since so many of you join this club, and then remain as continuous members.
We will be looking to pick the brains of many of you in order to put together a summary of the clubs activities over these 40 years into a Yearbook. This publication needs to be a summary of the combined memories of all of you. If you would like to volunteer to assist on this sub-committee (particularly if you have a good memory of the various Club activities in its different eras), then please contact me asap.
The Club requests that all members This means you - provide a short summary of your life in the club and a brief history/photo of your car/s no more than one page!
We will then publish this as part of a Year-Book for the 40th Anniversary of the AHSDC for 2006. This will be a great memento about the AHSDC and its members - for our 40th Year.
I need this information by the September General Meeting at the latest, in order to collate the information for the Yearbook. If I do not have this information, then unfortunately just your name and car model (if we have it) will appear in this Special Publication about the club. The earlier I receive the information the easier it will be for me and the rest of the team to collate.
You can e-mail it to me to the address below, or post it to me to 78 Parkinsons Rd. Darnum 3822, or give me a copy (Preferably typed) plus photo, at a Club Meeting. My preference is for an e-mail version, as this is then easier to put onto a CD for the printer.
John Fowler (jfowler@dcsi.net.au)
Below are some items you may consider using to help you with the formulation of an article to submit to John Fowler. I would also consider adding the registration number of the car and the compliance plate details, a picture of the car and any previous history of the car you may have. (Editor) What John would like is an article in your own words so that each entry in the book is different and makes interesting read rather than just a log of details all answering the same questions.
